Well, I suppose this shouldn't come as a surprise. On the first floor of the Pasadena Whole Foods, on the shelf above the coconut water, right next to the other bottled cold-brews (Secret Squirrel, Stumptown, etc.) is, voila, Whole Foods's cold-brew. In growlers, no less. Refills available. Sorry for the blurry pic.
I'll be one of a few judges for this year's Iron Barista competition, which is exactly what it sounds like: random assortments of ingredients, flummoxed baristas, potentially questionable resulting concoctions. Sounds fun? Sounds fun. It'll be at Chimney Brick Toast Coffee House in Chinatown this Thursday starting at 6; Ricky's Fish Tacos -- best fish tacos in town -- will be providing the eats. Really, if nothing else, come for the tacos. They are that good.
